Overview
What this course is about
This is the course for people who want to build websites with actual code, not just with a builder. You learn how the web really works and how to create sites and web applications from an empty file all the way to a working product running on a database. You begin with the frontend, the part people see and use. You learn HTML to structure pages, CSS to style them and make them look good on every screen, and JavaScript to make them interactive and responsive to what the user does. By the end of this stage you can build clean, modern web pages by hand and understand exactly why each piece works. Then you move to the backend, the part that makes a website think. You learn PHP, the language that runs a huge share of the web, and Symfony, a professional framework used to build serious applications in a clean and organised way. Alongside this you learn MySQL so your sites can store and manage real data: users, records, content and more. This is where a static page becomes a real application with logins, forms that save data, and pages that change based on what is stored. Everything is taught by building real projects, step by step, in small classes where your instructor reviews your code and helps you understand your mistakes. You come out of this course able to build a full website or web application on your own, which is exactly the skill that lets you freelance, take on client projects, or start a career as a web developer. Basic computer comfort is enough to begin; no prior coding experience is required.
